Millennium Park
There’s nothing quite like the must-see attraction known as Millennium Park. Located in the heart of downtown Chicago, this vibrant lakefront campus encompasses everything that makes the Windy City so special: art, architecture, and rich history.
Before its construction, Millennium Park was a wasteland of old railroad tracks—a testament to the City of Big Shoulders. Today, it has become a sprawling urban park that captures the interest of tourists and locals alike. From 6 am to 11 pm, you can find popular sights like the Great Lawn, Lurie Garden, and the famous Cloud Gate (aka, “The Bean”).
Location
Millennium Park is located on Michigan Avenue. It’s bordered by Randolph Street to the North and Columbus Drive to the East. You can find Monroe Street to the South.
Depending on the direction you decide to take, you might pass nearby restaurants like The Gage, Cindy’s Rooftop, and Goddess and the Baker—all locally-loved restaurants and bars perfect for dinner and drinks. If you pass any of these locations, congratulations are in order: you’re in Millennium Park territory.
