Whether you’re planning an extravagant wedding or trying to attend your first big convention, no one wants to worry about where they’re going to park their car. In a city as large as Indianapolis, finding affordable and accessible parking can feel impossible. Street parking is limited, and some parking lots are a hike away from where you want to go.

For dependable and safe Indianapolis Convention Center parking, look no further than the Capitol Commons parking garage. This garage is just a 1-minute walk from the convention center, and it offers affordable and accessible parking options. 

Located on the corner of S. Capitol Avenue and W. Maryland Street, you don’t have to worry about breaking out your hiking gear to get to the convention center. 

FAQs

Does the venue take cash or cards?

The Indianapolis Convention Center only accepts cards for all food and beverage purchases. However, there is a cash-to-card kiosk that will exchange cash for a debit card, so you can focus on the event rather than your finances. 

Where can I drop someone off?

During certain events, drivers can drop guests off at the north side of the convention center near Maryland Street and Capitol Avenue. This access point may be closed during certain events, but the Maryland Street Canopy offers easy access to the convention center for guests who need to be dropped off. 

Do they have family restrooms? 

The Indianapolis Convention Center strives to make the venue accessible to all guests. There are restrooms throughout the venue space, with three family restrooms for guests with small children. 

Is there Wi-Fi?

Guests have access to free Wi-Fi in the corridors, food courts, and other public spaces within the venue for low-bandwidth tasks such as checking emails or browsing the web. For guests who need stronger internet access, get in touch with our team to go over your options. 

Does the venue have water refill stations?

To help in the efforts to reduce plastic waste, the venue offers a variety of water refill stations for guests to be able to refill their personal water bottles for free. 

How can I get to the convention center?

For guests visiting from out of state and staying at a nearby hotel, use one of the handy skywalks to bypass the traffic and simply walk to the venue. For parking options, visit the nearby Capitol Commons parking garage.
